Willis Towers Watson: more than half of employees feel the need to change jobs for career progression
(Nov.25, 2016, /staffingindustry.com/)According to research by consulting firm Willis Towers Watson, 53% of Dutch workers feel the need to change jobs in order to progress in their careers.
The study shows that employers continue to risk losing their best people to the competition if there is lack of growth opportunities within the company, even if compensation, benefits and corporate culture meet the expectations of employees.
"The term 'dead-end job" was used for unskilled, low-paid work,” Angel Hoover, Head of Talent Management and Organizational Alignment Practice EMEA at Towers Watson Willis, said.
“Unfortunately, it now increasingly applies to highly skilled positions, where employees feel they have limited opportunity within their organisation."
